Really cool lyrics artfully arranged by Elias. Like no other Iceage song and no other ABRA cover. Brilliant choice for a special recording session.

about
As part of Pitchfork London and Abbey Road Amplify, Iceage were invited to Abbey Road in November 2021 to record a cover of ABRA's 'Pull Up' from her acclaimed 2016 EP PRINCESS.
"In our process of considering and choosing a studio, we’ve always sought out more secluded locations, deprived of the distractions offered by a big city. A prerequisite for us to record was always leaving ourselves scarce of time. By the skin of our teeth. Half faulty equipment and the occasional hole in the roof at times, a welcomed obstacle. The invitation to Abbey Road was therefore met with an equal sense of flattery and some consideration, as we have always gone about recording in a very specific mindset. Though we were aware that we had no original material ready or suited for the opportunity, it would be a mistake to pass. Elias presented the idea of 'Pull Up' as something to work with, as we are all fans of ABRA. At first one of many, in a spitball of ideas, it worked the best."

lyrics
Told me you like me
You was in trouble the moment you said it
Tell all your friends to pop out
If they want it then they can come get it
Ain't nobody else, I want you to myself
Ain't nobody else, I want you to myself
And we gon' run it up, yeah we gon' run it up
I said we gon' run it up, so yeah, we gon' run it up, run it up
Get into trouble, get into trouble with me love
Get into trouble, get into trouble with me love
Pull up to your crib riding shotty, shawty
Pull up with your bitch, now it's a party
Strawberita wavy baby feeling brazy
Said I’m crazy, you ain't seen shit yet
Pull up to your crib riding shotty, shawty
Pull up with your bitch, now it's a party
Strawberita wavy baby feeling brazy
Said I’m crazy, you ain't seen shit yet
You don’t wanna be in love, no
You think it's that easy to walk out the fold
Watch you get greasy, a slippery slope
And you lose every time
You don’t wanna be in love, no
You think it's that easy to walk out the fold
Watch you get greasy, a slippery slope
And you lose every time
You don’t wanna be in love, no
(Ayy, we still gonna run it up)
You think it's that easy to walk out the fold
('Cause we gon' run it up)
Watch you get greasy, a slippery slope
(I said, we gon' run it up)
And you lose every time
(You know we gon' run it, run it up)
You don’t wanna be in love, no
(Get into trouble)
You think it's that easy to walk out the fold
(Get into trouble with me love)
Watch you get greasy, a slippery slope
(Get into trouble)
And you lose every time
(Get into trouble with me love)
Pull up to your crib riding shotty, shawty
Pull up with your bitch, now it's a party
Strawberita wavy baby feeling brazy
Said I’m crazy, you ain't seen shit yet
Pull up to your crib riding shotty, shawty
Pull up with your bitch, now it's a party
Strawberita wavy baby feeling brazy
Said I’m crazy, you ain't seen shit yet
